Peter Baba Kaka was born in the small Town called Pibor located in South-East Sudan, which has now become a State city in South Sudan. He was 11 when the Sudan civil war started and he left home to go bush. He became a child soldier for at least 9 years before he was released to a refugee camp in Kenya, Kakuma.
He finished high school and trained as a primary school teacher, then worked as a school teacher, Sunday school teacher and assistant to a pastor before coming to Australia in January 2002.
He now has a Bachelor of Community and Human Services and is pursuing a Master degree in Social and Human Rights Policy.
He now works as a Co-ordinator for the South Sudanese Australian Peace Initiative (SSAPI),  CEO of The Murle Education Foundation Inc and as a social worker in Gippsland, Australia.

Barrie Ryan

Raised on a dairy farm in Gippsland, at the age of 16 Barrie heard the gospel for the first time and began attending a local church, although he admits his spirituality was shallow and his faith weak.

He spent his early working life as a farmer and agricultural contractor until at age 28 he had a life-changing experience with the Holy Spirit and committed his life to serve God in whatever way opened to him.

In the years since he has functioned as an itinerant Bible teacher and has pastored several churches. In 2015 he handed on the pastoral role of Moe New Life Christian Centre and focussed on establishing and supporting The Murle Education Foundation Inc. (MEF)

Barrie is currently Chairman of MEF and treasurer of his local church (MNLCC).

John Tibble

An executive manager, banker, accountant and lawyer with an extensive career covering a wide range of industries, Governments and national cultures, John has been an advisor to Australian corporations on change management, strategic planning issues and macro-economic implications from a world perspective.

His wide experience makes him a valuable member of the MEF management team.
